whoa...in the greyscale and light, the ivy resembles mold and rot slowly enveloping the building...swallowing it eventually..
I can't tell what that vine is from the picture, but if it's wysteria, it'll swallow the whole building in a few years.
I thik this would make a nice wallpaper, its a stunning building!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site, I visited once and nearly didnt come back, but I found it by accident in my history, so I came back and now you can't get rid of me!
We went there tonight.. I found a weak point in the fence and we managed to get in. It was pretty cool. It was like something in a movie.
My sister now lives in Kings Park and she told me about this site. Having grown up in the next town, this area was a really cool place to explore. About 10 years ago, my brother, my then 8 year old son and I went into building 93 at night with flashlights. It was amazing! And scary too. I took a "Kings Park Psych. Patients Bill of Rights" sign off the wall. If I can find it, I'll email you a copy. The three of us still have great memories from that night. Thanks so much for this great site.
It looks like the dayroom on the second "step" is throwing up.

Why would you take an 8 yr. old into a dangerous place like this? 8 yr. olds can't always determine things like "that floor looks rotted" or "that ceiling looks unsafe".
there is crap in that palce that will make ur head spin anybody who wants to get in write a comment under mine
i was a patient in building 93, yes i certainley was, it was scary to i stayed there for a year and then it closed, by that time i was realesead, but i had a good time there, during my rehab
my friend and i went into this building today. we have been going to kp every weekend for the past 6 weeks, we go to a different building each time. this one is tall but no so big inside. the attic was very cool and whar a view from the roof. we found one tunnel so far but have not ventured in yet....we love this place...and so far no ghost yet
as soon as i get some info as to of how to get in there......im going to be right up in it
I am looking at the google earth picture of this and that big mass of ivy hanging down is not in that picture. Makes me wonder if these were taken in 2004, how old is the google picture?
this place was so majestic at one point. it is extremely sad to see it in ruins, by the way, the google image was takken in winter of 01
I am an avid freelance photographer from hartford. I would love to visit the hospital and document photographs before they tear it down. I am extending an invitation for anyone who would like to go with me. I dont know how to get there and i certainly am not going by myself. As much beauty is in the buildings it scares the shit out of me. My email is belladiabla0666@yahoo.com feel free for anyone who is interested to contact me.
it looks like something in a horror film, like the building has blood pouring out of it.
The building looks so clean from the outside. The inside looks so awful.
Oh my wow!

It's crazy how something this amazing and massive wouldnt be salvaged to use as something else, you know?
I Love the way the vines are coming down the building....Hard to believe nature could do something amazing like this. Someday I'd like to explore buildings like this one.
that is the bigest bulding there.I was driven out of there and i saw a guy smocken on a bench a person laying down and a guy standing up and they were all like that when i camm in.
I went there for my first time about a month ago and from reading everything online it seems like it was so much easier to get in 93 a few years ago. I can't find any way in now, but building 7 and the quad are both still easy to get into
I live in Kings Park...all the buildings are terrifying!
