I can understand how some really heavy equipment might be left behind, but its just odd how this stuff was just left up. I really don't know how to explain it, its just...odd.

I stared into this photo, and put myself back some years, and you know what? I'ld be scared stiff to go in there!!! Afraid the doctor looked like that painting on the wall, and he was gonna stick a big fat needle up my rear end that would have me looking like that. (LOL)

I believe this building was a daycare facility for the staff's kids.

Building 40 was used as a private daycare center during the 1980s. All patients were gone from Group II circa 1980. That mural was painted during the daycare times.

If I was a kid at this place and saw Gonzo like that I'd run out of there and keep on running. I don't think having a sycotic pic of Gonzo builds up the self esteem all that well.
Mind you what would I know all I'm doing is typing my two-cents.

Infant one. My wife works at a daycare & the kids are divided into groups according to their age. There is infant 1, infant 2, trans (for transitional) 1 & trans 2. Toddler 1 & 2, and so on. When they reach school age, they graduate and move on.

This looks a lot like recent pictures from Chernobyl. A lot of Mott's photos do to me, but these daycare pictures especially. Visitors to this site would probably also enjoy some of those pictures. There are lots of galleries to be found and some of them are really mesmerizing.
