im surprized the doors are still intact.
silk
I saw those doors with my own eyes, that shit was nutz i never want to see it again, that place freaks me out.
that'd be a nice place to sleep in the dark. alone.
i went here with some people, it was ok, idk, it'd be scarier if i was with less people i geuss
THIS WAS VERY CREEPY MY SISTERS AND I LAID IN THESE THE WHERE VERY COLD AND DARK
If laying in a mourge freezer creeps you out, WHY, did you lay in them. It id disrespectful to the dead anyways to pretend you are. Also, do you expect there to be heaters and lights in the freezer? Oh you know the dead bodies must be kept warm and the light allows them to read.
where is that???
The morgue..... :-)
alight alright, i live 10 minutes from letchworth, who wants to do an indipendent film?
i also live like 15 mins from letchworth....im totally down to do this film....ive been in and out of a lot of these places....although ive never seen these freezers.....does anybody know what building they are in....and possibly where the building is located....anything to help me find them
andrew, send me an email to hedonisticvanity at gmail.com i can show you around, im a local. letchworth is my stomping ground. im there typically once a week. i know it like the back of my hand. i have blueprints of the whole compound
aight sounds good......yea i know the place pretty well too but i dont have blueprints...but ill definately get a few of my friends and we can meet up...have u ever seen anything there....ive only seen a figure once but the rest were glimses and sounds of shit moving above
i usually go by myself at night, ive heard some odd animal sounds outside, nothing inside. its relaxing for me to go out at night by myself and roam
i dunno id probably have to have a lot of smokes to walk around there alone for a while.......just irks me walkin around there after i saw wat was there.....some say thse ghosts are only there if you want to see them.......supposedly if u dont wanna you can block them out.....but the people who do see them want to and open their minds up to the other side
yo is di morgue in di hospital where exactly is it?? i didnt find it. is it in dat building across from cornell or the one next to the school??
My friends and i walked down there at like 2 am and wandered through the hallways of that hospital. it was pitch black. and i mean PITCH BLACK.
I love all your Morgue pics.
I was at this place yesterday and my friends got scared cause of a racoon lol thought it might entertain some of u guys cause i entertained me lol,im looking for some sort of map of the premises so i can make my way around quickly and quietly cause i supposedly hard there are police patrols anyone help me??
When did punctuation become optional? Also, I think there is another Keith that posts comments. :o( But, all that aside, I enjoy this photograph for reasons I can't fully understand. It seems so metalic.
For all those interested in a type of study, feel free to contact me. I have been touring this place for about 3 months now. I've been getting a lot of pics. The creepiest thing is that I am touring it with two very mildly retarded people that were both residents of letchworth. The stories that they have will blow your mind. Im thinking of a type of film or documentary to produce that can be used for current mental health workers or sold to benefit such agencies. If anyone would be interested in helping, please contact me, I can use as much information as possible. Thanks.
By the way, this pic isnt where the bodies were stored before burial, it was where they were stored before they were experimented on. Its located in a hallway just outside the "expirement" room which contains tables and drains.
Do you mean the laboratory? It is a place where scientists research causes of death, diseases, and anything else that can be examined post-mortem to further our knowledge of health and mental health. Quite standard actually.

I'd like to know where you are getting your facts, they seem a bit off and you might want to make sure they are correct before filming a documentary...
Lethworth village to day?
"MOTTS"-----you seem to know alot about the "going ons" at letchworth.... doing research, got any info on letchworth or willowbrook?
I've heard that they had given hepatitis c to children to see how long they could live....is that true?
Yes they did give injections of hep to kids. They knew they were going to catch it anyway, so they experimented with "syrums." Another little known fact, about 30% of inmates were just "incorageable" kids with NO psych or mental illness.... Hey Jing4, send me an email and we'll do lunch and I can show you some stuff to blow your mind.
Hi. I am a social worker who works in the field of developmental disabilities. I am not too far from Letchworth and I also know some people who are familiar with Letchworth just prior to its closing. Drop an email if you are interested.
Doing alot of research on letchworth village.. Anyone with info please e-mail me.
where's this place at
We're not allowed to tell where anything is at, because of vandalism and all that bad junk.
my friends and i went there this halloween.,..i found this morgue freezer by accident! i was wandering by myself, my friends were a bit behind. i shined my flashlight on the wall and it read "morgue" where someone had spraypainted it. i was like, "morgue?". then i turned around and saw this. it was AWESOME. i was going to lay down but the trays were dirty and i didnt want to ruin my jacket...haha. btw this is located in the basement, on the side of one of the hallways. (the basement of the main building, off the main road.)

GO THERE, its crazy! just dont get caught.
thats not the one theres an other one this one has metal door the one in the main building has wood doors but someone took them i guess they wanted to build a club house with them
i go here almost every other day cause its fun to go there i like a good scare a go by myself some times with a few friends i dont know why people take stuff thats crazy i would never thats just wrong
can i get some blueprints of this place can anyone help me out
Its disturbing to see the grafitti artists have desecrated the site. I honestly do not see their need to leave their scribbles everywhere. It is disgusting.
Isn't this place a few minutes away from NRHS? I remember passing one of the buildings when my little cousin had a basketball game. I looked at one of the windows and I could have sworn I saw someone in the room. My dad and I are going to look around the place next time I'm in Stony Point.
my aunt worked their. she told me a story were her friend who also worked there heard moans and noises from the morgue and went there to find a body wich was still alive on one of the tables. really sick shit
I worked at a hospital built in the 50's, that had refrigerators like that at the employee entrance. This was due to practicality, as the employee entrance was at the lower rear of the building, which was also a perfect place for a hearse to drive up discreetly to pick up bodies.
Every morning, I had to walk past those doors, knowing there was a good chance a corpse lay behind it. What a way to start the day.
i live by letchworth been in and out of that place for years now iam trying to find the tunnels anyone have any ideawhere an entrance is
I am guessing that if they do know, they are not going to post this info on a public site such as this, especially given that the site owner has asked that this not occur. :-)
well if wnybody knows and is worried about legal issues i have my space acct

rofl
I was there no more then 2 hours ago! lol.
MAD SCARY!
teenagers ripped the doors off tho.
the doors off to the storing of dead bodies
i always feel the same when i see pictures like this, im not sure what the feeling is but a dealth comes to mind .. its hard to describe! good picture though
IF i could slide myself into one for a moment to capture the sensation
this is in the hospital and theres another mourge in the lab.
lived here all my life been in and out of buildings. there is def something going on but stay out of the tunnels. there is a large amount of methane gas due to years of decay. will suffocate you in minuets.
This place facinates me and I would love to get email from anyone that has stories to tell about it, good or bad.
im never laying in that again its still pretty damn cold
There’s all kind of stories about letchworth. My father started there in 1972, and I started in 1987. Make sure you have all the facts because there were people that resided there and families that will take action there’s still a state law called (HIPPA) and if you film and show names and not knowing the true facts the state will probably prosecute.
I live in Stony Point and this place always interested me... I have never wandered the grounds and after hearing some weird stories, I never will, ha, but it's a shame there isn't a movie made about this place or something of the sort...

Why is the place all torn apart in the pictures? Is it from vandals/looters, or did the employees leave in a hurry, because it looks like a tornado whipped through...
i cannot believe that there is graffiti on the Freezer not on the walls but the Freezer! that makes me soo angry and sad, this is one of the most disgraceful things i have ever seen!
my old daycare was one of these lechworth buildings. its creppy as hell.the janitor told me and some kids a story he was upstairs in the gym all alone and he heard his voice being caled he sweared he was telling the truth.i also live a minute away from the lechworth villiage cementary.i was running to look at a grave and i tripped out of nowhere now thats freakin creapy.
Tonight im planning to go back to lechworth villiage cementary and see if i can pick up any paronormal.im 10 years old so i cant go alone. ill leave another post soon.
ever here the story about the ghost cop of lechworth villiage its freaky look it up and read it.
the doors arent intact anymore a tray is missing and some idiot stole the autopsy table, its a shame people have to take things. they can't leave it so theres history for others to see
Unless your gonna be bringing a scott pack to breathe..stay out of the tunnels and dude the doors are still perfectly intact and everything is still there
i think that "history" is better forgotten anyway, i worked there (1980)and it was TERRIBLE!!!!!!! ask geraldo rivera...he raided the place and exposed all of the horrifics on film on tv
Geraldo Rivera did a piece called 'Willowbrook; The Last Disgrace' which featured Willowbrook [obviously], although Letchworth was referenced and depicted as well I believe.
There is also a documentary, "Christmas in Purgatory" which may have featured Letchworth along with Willowbrook.
Time for a Nap! zzz
Letchworth was a great place to work when I was there. I started in 75 and was there for years. It probably does have horror stories from the past but when I was there it wasn't like that. I was also there when Geraldo came for a visit and what an act he put on! Talk about a media whore! When one of the residents put their hand out to him you should have seen the look of disgust on his face. We took good care of them, brought them on trips and even to out own homes and I worked in one of the worst buildings where they were severely retarded. We were a family there and really bonded with the residents there. Many miss this place and relationships that were formed and never forgotten!
Is the electricity still on in this building too?
No, this was lit by my flashlight - the basement was pitch black.
Correction* not a cooler dead bodies were not stored in letchworth for more then 24 hours the were buried in the cenentary down the street
Been searching that medical building to find this morgue...nver have tho...Only been to the one in the older medical building. The wooden one. Stop by and check us out on facebook.com/afterdarkinvestigators
