why is there a toilet right next to the autopsy table seems like a funny place for one
It's a wash basin, used for washing out organs after they are removed from the body.
Not sure it's a toilet... The base looks kind of like one, but it's a bit on the large side, and there's a faucet above it. I'd guess it's another sink--seems like I vaguely recall seeing something like that in the morgue in another gallery, although I could be misremembering.
See? *hehe* Sorry, Motts, I guess I was composing my comment at the same time you were!
I bet back in the day, people were dying to get on that table!!! LOL
THAT IS A DRAIN BASIN WHICH IS USED IN
MOST MODERN FUNERALHOMES FOR BLOOD
AND BODY FLUIDS
Lynne,
help us out here, i think its a hopper... give us your opinion :)
I believe that Motts and Joe are correct - it's a wash basin/drain basin for cleaning body parts.
Dinner is served!
hmm...i dno, i reckon its incase someone was all messy, they wouldnt have to leave the room to take a crap...also if they were in the middle of an interesting or important chat...it doesnt have to end!
Is that a Coors light?
Hospitals today use those basins, and not just in the morgue. They can be found all over the hospital I work at in Oregon
Ohhhh, intresting. I love these Morgue shots, so creepy, yet you make them beautiful!
It looks like a hopper to me too....manymany of them in the hospital where I work.
