Can anyone say Taunton State Hospital? (NO THATS NOT WHAT THIS BUILDING IS, THE WALKWAYS ARE REMENESINT). Sorry folks.

I admit I have never seen a curved walkway before. It's interesting that at least two different facilities made use of this. It does look pretty cool. The idea of a carved wood walkway makes me salivate. :-(

I do love the rest of this place, this one walkway seems cheap and out of place with all the older buildings though!

The Walkway comes from the kirk bridge bld., however I do not know the bld. in the photo.

Our old county hospital has a walkway like this connecting the newer building to the old one. I believe they added the walkway many years ago to transport the patients in wheelchairs between buildings without installing an elevator in the older building.

funy story.. my jerk brother and his pothead friends broke all the glass from this walkway.. but my brothers stupid friend almsot had his head cut off from a shaking peice of glass on the top while he was looking out.. my brother saved him.. whut a moron!

It seems like Mandy and her brother and his friends have way too much time on their hands and not nearly enough supervision. At the very least they might want to reconsider using a public forum to disclose their felonious escapades to the world. It's a strange sense of humor that thinks it's funny to destroy someone else's property and to almost sustain a serious injury. They probably wouldn't believe how much fun it's possible to have without breaking, smashing, or trashing anything. (BTW Mandy, the police use the Internet too)

I'm with you dme---Mandy and her "pothead" brother and other varied friends need a new hobby. Destroying these buildings for fun speaks volumes about their maturity and questionable upbringing....
