@ liza--a grossing table is a table where a 'gross examination' of a cadaver is done. They come in hundreds of types/styles and are also referred to as a 'necropsy' table.

All the tables left in this place are grossing tables now!, like birds on statues!

I've seen windows like that in elementary schools.

I'm pretty sure they do! At least we have him in Germany. Here he's called "Meister Propper". Maybe there he is "Signore Pulito"?
