Poor little cabinets. Is it just the angle, or is that door sort of suspended in space. Was there a step down into the room? Or is that even a door?

It looks like that door may have been to a closet or wardrobe. But those little cabinets seem to be in a very strange location. This room is utterly without charm.

How horrible to have beds so close together and those tiny holes in the walls to keep all your stuff. Very sad, very sad :(

Judging from the # of sections in the radiator and the vault curvacure I would guess that about 4 residents lived in this space. Wow, they were being treated with kid gloves!!
