Ashen

Interestingly, the floor tile varied throughout this small ward, often in aesthetic patterns.

Love the floor! Is that carpet or tile?
I bet those floors were magnificent in their day. Still restorable but not for long unless they close those windows.
HEY LARRY,, you close that window and I'll get this one !!!!!
It looks like tile? Voltor?????????
Mmm...I think someone forgot to close those windows! Boy is Mama gonna be PEEVED when she sees her carpet (or tile...though that doesn't have quite the impact as carpet) is ruined!! I'm TELLIN!

:D

Sigh...too much time with the kiddos I think.

So is that tile or carpet?
As soon as I recover from sliding in the last pitcher I'm playing hop scotch
You crack me up bobo!
>.< Yeah that was some header you took on that floor back there...

You may want to pursue uh...SAFER endevors there Bobo...you may hurt yourself lol.

The one door is open...and the window is open...someone is sneaking IN! Or out...
There's a third window open way down there -- I'll get that one. It just occurred to me that this building has radiators for heat, but it doesn't look like they had air conditioning. Bars on the windows, but no screens. Bet it was hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
cool floor but close those windows! Hi debbie
Motts? Considering your obvious love of most of the buildings, almost as if they are your children, have you ever closed a window or two to protect a building?

BTW, the pattern on the floor is a popular quilting pattern called "grandmother's flower garden." I've made one and let me express. . . It was TOUGH! Hexagons suck sometimes. lol. says the sewing and quilting teacher.
I've closed up ways in if possible by shutting windows and doors, sure. I've never boarded anything up or placed my own locks on things, though.
