Searching for more decay, we came across an abandoned ward that was attached to a still-functioning building. This fenced-in courtyard could have been a controlled exercise area for the ward.

I LOVE this picture! It brings to mind a college campus or something like that!

How gorgeous that green is! It goes SOOOO well with the pale yellow of the building and the green of the gates. :)

Good point Mike. Wow. Now that you mention it...this IS sort of an optical illusion of sorts...inside or out? THAT is the question of the day.

I can't think of anything to add to what you all have said. Just beautiful. I'd love to have this fence around my yard. I'd have to repaint the house, though. and get green shutters.
