whats written on the doors? Numbers perhaps
What a beautiful doorway. I want it.
Me too MomPink.
But you did ask first. :)
Lovely shot. I love the way you lined the shot up to be perfectly centered with the doors in the background, Mr. Motts.
Motts does things that I wouldn't even think about ..
Great composition! That's a great doorway too!
Like the way its all lined up too Ontario, Lovely doors.
Lovely French doors and arch. This would be worth a fortune at a home salvage yard.
Wow. I love those doors too. :)
That's such a beautiful doorway. It makes me sad that we see so few examples of such pretty internal architecture in modern buildings - in the old days they took such pride in building beautiful things, and by comparison I find modern buildings so ugly. It's like modern builders just don't take any interest in creating beautiful structures most of the time. So sad.
In my home town, there is a street with some of the most beautiful old homes on it, but the one that takes the cake for me has a large porch or what we would call today a 3 season room, with lots of these exact arched windows and they stopped at the bottom of the windows. It had ivy growing on it and it was white and facing south. I recreated it in a graphic design class. I even took the school bus that took that route so I could see it every day. When the dean asked me why I was taking the wrong bus, going down this street I said, "Because It is beautiful." He let me go on riding that bus. God Bless him. Motts, thanks for the memories you provoke in me.
Really nice shot.
