Foyer

I'm not sure what the table was in the foreground - it had an electric motor built in.

Another great ceiling shot !!
Fairly wild guess, but a drive for a sewing machine?
Nice flooring, would look nice restored.
Wow. That is one impressive room! :)
I think the table with the motor is the bottom half of a sewing machine?
Sewing machine sounds right to me!
I was thinking the same thing, TSR. What is the writing on the glass double doors?
Hotelaufgang (hotel exit)
Spielzimmer (playroom)
Beautiful ceiling treatment. I can picture that floor all polished and shiny.
i believe it was a portable electric soap dispenser.
BWAHAHAHAHHAHHA to bat-wing-soup!!!

The joke lives on...and on...and on...

IT WILL NEVER DIE!!!

It is an immortal. everlasting living thing...
This room looks like someone made an effort to clean it up. The wallpaper is gone and the doors are open to other cleanish spaces.
It was probably a torture device for the young mental patients.

Ooops, wrong gallery! :)
Pretty sure it's a sewing machine...
Interesting... It sure LOOKS like a sewing machine, but I have an ancient Singer sewer that has a wheel identical to that one, except the wheel is mounted on the sewing machine itself, sitting on top of the surface of the table. Plus the horizontal braces around the sides of the legs would seriously interfere with sitting properly at this table...just a thought :)
theres a lot of ways to get out of that room...
i agree with SmarterPrimate, so i am going to guess that the table might be for a movie projector or small electric generator
Even with the fine floors and the interesting ceilings, this place seems fairly spartan to me. I will not be booking again.
