Wow. A lot going on in this shot. Motts, do you recall what this space was used for?
I agree with Larry D. There seems to be a blue table or pedestal near the hole to the outside. For some reason the tiles on the left start half way up the wall. The outer wall seems to have been sloped before, or perhaps ended up that way after collapse. There doesn't seem to be a window.
With all the bricks lying around near the window it would seem to be
a collapsed ceiling.
Wow. A jarring transition from the serenity of the previous picture to the dynamic action in this one. Larry D sait it best. There's just a lot going on here..
i think a green monster was sacrificed here .. you can still see the remains
I wonder why the tiles are only in that small space, It doesnt seem that any fell on the floor. Wonder what the room was for.
It was especially difficult to tell what purpose rooms served due to the many renovations and changing function of the campus over the years. I would imagine the original room was larger, if not the entire top floor being a later addition.
Are the colors in this shot a result of film temp. or lighting, or just a happy accident?

In any case, it's a great shot.
Nice green whatever crawling up the wall lol...

I like the green monster theory best. AAAAH DIIIEEEE! lol!
little sweep, some paint .. new wall, and your good to go.
Looks like the floor is slanting, not sure it would be a good idea to walk out there to sweep.
I'm thinking the tiles could have been a backsplash to a counter that is no longer there... would explain why they seem to "start" halfway up the wall. Also, at the border of the white and beige walls under the tile, there looks to be some kind of pipe end jutting out... maybe for a sink?
I agree with SmarterPrimate -- a very strange set up though...
Looks like someone meditating travelled to a higher level via the hole in the roof... great shot!!
