I'd love to have a room like this. I'd fill it with comfortable lounge chairs, litle tables and ferny plants. I'd enjoy it year-round.

I'll bet they built a new OR and then knocked down the outside wall and added the windows. I'll bet this room was very restful.

I'd love to see what those windows look like from the outside. The room has such a strange shape.

Hey Bobo - the hosptial I work in is 136 years old and the OR has 9 ft windows in every suit. I think it was incase the power went out.

The OR is on the 6th floor with ICU. ER and morgue are on the main floor. All empty now. The basement is full of underground tunnels to other buildings like the nurses residents and a children hospital . It's a pretty cool old place but almost empty now. Only my department and 2 others.

Weren't all really old operating rooms equiped with huge windows due to lack of electricity in the original construction? Most of these places appear to have had electricity and indoor plumping retrofitted.
