No graffiti in the other rooms because its all here!
Graffitti artist gallery?
And not one Swastika? Where is the urban artists sense of rebellion these days....
From what I understand, Nazism is taken very seriously in Germany, unlike in the USA where kids often group it with anarchism, satanism, etc. to represent rebellion.

I have only seen one location in Germany with Neo-Nazi graffiti so far, and it was very "adult;" no pictures or colors, just messages of hate in black spray paint. It gave the place a pretty creepy vibe.
Yeah 'kids' in Germany tend not to just randomly draw the swastika on walls. :)

Quote: "The German postwar criminal code makes the public showing of the Hakenkreuz (the swastika) and other Nazi symbols illegal and punishable, except for scholarly reasons."
Very colourful on the white background.
I've found that young people in Germany are more politically active versus things like education, social structure and nuclear power (shown above). @ Loesj--you are correct--nazism is definitely 'verboten'.
'No respect'? Mm irony...
In keeping with the theme of German sociatal laws and customs. I have heard that "flipping someone off" AKA giving them the "bird" is a traffic offense that a police officer can write up a citation for. So is just pointing to ones head (while driving) in at attemept to tell another driver that they are : "crazy in the head" .

As for the Hakenkreuz, I am just supprised that it is not seen more in places that are out of the public eye such as places like these.
I like Curry too!
Most People in Germany don't like the Hackenkreuz. Also it is "verboten".

Maybe i can translate some of the grafitti. As a real Berliner I can read it.
One reads: "Allet vakackt" this is Berlin slang for Alles verkackt this means roughly every thing is shity, some kinda bad.

the other one reads: "Dit kotzt ma an ey" in real german "Das kotzt mich an (ey)" means someone feels like everything is vomiting on him. Not very nice. The colors grün und gelb are self explaining. The vertical one an the left side makes no sense "NIX MIT HRTL" Nix = Nichts = nothing, MIT=with, HRTL=??? If I'm right someone painted with great afford LOL the word "FOTZE" between the doors. That is really not nice because it's a bad word for the female genital or even a whole woman. "Zukunft" = future, "sein"=will be. Someone is thinking the future will be a nuclear age. Hope this helps a bit. Btw nice to see Pictures from my own City.
Hey, there's an English word at the top- "NUCLEAR". Just couldn't resist, could ya?
its like I hate it when punk kids do this, but it works in the photo.
I´m from Germany too. There´s no reason for us to draw the Hakenkreutz, even in locations like that, for we all hate it and have the deepest respect for those who fell in WWII. I would have suggested a crossed out Hakenkreutz here, that´d be more like us!
I don't know, i knew i kid from germany who loved the Hakenkreutz, and once had a standard WWII nazi pistol, he once got pulled over in germany for wearing a Hakenkreutz necklace, and the police went to go serch his house for more Nazi articles, which his room was filled with, he had to pack them away and burry them under a tree some where to retreive in the future
