This is making me dizzy.....how scary was it to go up and down these stairs with no railings???
I bet the railings in this location were mahogany or some other hardwood and that's why they're not there anymore. The wood was too nice and someone needed them for their house.
A spiral stone staircase, that's unusual. Was it going to an attic level?
Awesome twist here! From this perspective it almost looks like you have to jump for the lower steps.
Whoa! I don't know how you get some of the shots that you do, but this is incredible!
WOW! BEAUTIFUL!
No railing means no use for me.
Heights and me don't get along well.
Spiral staircases like these look as hard to install as brick ceilings
*Gulp* Wow. Now that is one freaky shot. Talk about vertigo!
Amazing architecture! This was made by hand 100 years ago. Wow.
Larry D...makes you wonder why modern structures are slapped together, with all the technology we have now. They made such awesome buildings with nothing but their hands hundreds of years ago.
Nice captured shot
Cantilevered masonry steps with an iron stringer capping the ends? I see no attachment points for railings. Isn't that just the damnedest thing?
Oh. Wow. Gave me chills for a while.
I know. I have the same problem with the no rails. I have not seen anchor points in any of the stair shots. very strange.
