In some strange way, throughout this giant institution where thousands of people lived for extended periods of time, this little wall had one of the very few hints of a personality left behind.

In any case, I liked the Keller-Geister label a lot.

What no eiswein I'm shocked. =)
I guess even people that are hospitalized like to catch a little buzz once in awhile!
The little flower patterns on the tiles are all matched perfectly, yellow to yellow and brown to brown on the wall itself, and alternating yellow - brown on the half tiles on the borders.
What an interesting tile. Like the labels alot!
the staffs bathroom?
I like the labels! Unique find. Tiles are very pretty.
Keller-Geister is an old brand and very good wine in the middle-price range. It's still available here in the US for about 10-12 bucks a litre.
That tiling is very pretty indeed. I love how the flowers look. :) I don't know anything about German beer, just that they love to drink it, as people here in the US do too. I am a Budweiser girl all over though...sorry. :D
Someone, years and years ago, poured time, effort, and perhaps even hope for the future into those wall tiles. It makes you think. Where are they now? Would they be happy with the history of this place? What were they thinking as they placed them up? Hope for the future? Dread of the disease? Were they wealthy? Poor? Starving? Dying?

Sobering. Very sobering.

(Pun unintended! XD)
Oh what I would do for some german spatlese , auslese, or eiswein. That is some good stuff. Of course growing up with it makes me partial to it. The only american wein I drank growing up was discontinued by the time I moved statteside.
Well, it's in Germany ..
Mmmmm! Real German Weiss beer! Even better when made by little flute-playing imps with horns.
I live in The Netherlands, when i was young some 25 years ago, this was one of the few brands they sold in the supermarket, Never have seen the brand the last 20 years in supermarkets overherehere. Keller Geister means BasementSpirits or Ghosts b.t.w ..
Brrr, Weissbier, that's no good! I only drink dark beer, especially Kellerbier ("Basement Beer"), way better! And only my local brands here - I've got about 1200 to choose from, without leaving my region.
How funny!
Kellergeister is not beer, its kind of white sparkling wine.

I drink it right now ;)

Greetings from Germany
I have a unopened bottle of Keller-Geister White Wine does anyone know it value has label like the bottome one on pictures above.
