That black brick is going to outlast everything in this building!
That is interesting. The whole building is falling to pieces, yet that black tile looks brand new.
That black brick looks odd in a hospital. Wonder who decided on black for bricks....weird color for inside.
Maybe to keep people from bumping into the walls while trying to get into the doorways? I can't imagine why you would need that unless the people were sight-impared.

This whole scene has a public restroom feel to it.
It would be interesting to see what the colors were like when this place was operated by the Germans. Maybe the black at that time created a lovely "pop" against the decor. They certainly didn't seem to skimp on beauty as far as the architecture. I'm sure it all fit together somehow.
I just love how the bricks look like fingers holding on for dear life to the walls.
Black doesn't show the bloody splatters as much as lighter colors. Don't have to clean it as often.
