Intersection

Intersection

An elbow in the connecting corridor formed this interesting, shrine-like space. It looked as if some kind of statues or plaques were affixed to the walls at some point.

This is strange...maybe a place for patients to worship and pray??? Cool room either way
I guess this is one of the gazebos made where the connecting walkways changed direction. Love the ceiling, what engineering! Great red and white tile floor, I bet if it was washed it would look great.
The first sign of graffiti so far. A lot of work went into building that ceiling.
Anal Fist?
reminds me of a hunting lodge
How funny. We have emerged from the barns into the hunting lodge. But, have to go with ILoveDecay* Looks like that to me to, or a small exercise area perhaps.
I'd say it's just a day room.
Reminds me of the room we went in at the nursing home when DH's mom passed away. They had her coffin in there and a little altar...

Nice flooring!
Horse arena??
Lots of people put their hard work into this space, erecting it, and even more, different people treated the sick here. I wonder how many patients were comforted by this open expanse, the air, and the sunlight. This isn't a sad hospital. This...this is a happy place.
That roof trussing is awesome! Red floor, blue benches, green ceiling. The decorator was from Warsaw.
i want to dance in this room
Beam me up!
