Darn it, these shots make me want to see what was sealed up! Maybe there is a beautiful room behind there. Maybe it's a secret area where there is treasure... or human remains.

I guess they put the insulation on the outside of the doors to prevent the cold air from seeping through from the exterior brick wall that, for some reason, was installed to block up the doorway.

Reminds me of the Winchester house. Dang. I don't think I could have resisted knocking a hole through that to see what was inside! OK, not really, but it would have been REEEEEEEEEally hard to resist, and would have driven me crazynot to see what was back there.
