Looks like the carpet has seen better days and that might be an under statement!!!
Once again Mr. Motts' eye catches a great detail, turning his lens onto the side of the aisles and the wonderful detail on the chair ends.
Nice details. Is that wood? This must have been beautiful back in the day. Perfect angle on this.
Yes there is a lot of lovely detail to this one and I think it is safe to say that Mr. Motts is to the camera what Leonardo was to the canvas.
Thanks, the seats and arm rests are wood, while the frame is stamped metal.
There are so many textures going on in this shot from the gritty looking floor to the smoothness of the sides of the chairs. I really like this picture.
The first thing that came to my mind was: ew...then I noticed the wood and the gritty-ness of the floor like Lady said and I decided I really like this picture too. :)

Watch your step--zombies may be lurking under all that debris! :D
Great view of the stamped metal frames.
It looks like those zombies are bursting up from the floor.
Reminds me of a local theater here. It is over 100 years old, has survived two serious earthquakes and is still in the center of town. It has changed the top of the building from a hotel to box seats and dressing rooms. Through all of this work they have managed to keep the metal seat frames (similar to these) yet make them completely comfortable and padded.
you must stay and watch the show...... :)
these chairs are very similar to the ones in the auditorium at BSS
Breathtaking photography
