Always a piano left behind.
Wonder why that is...why do they never ever take the pianos?
A damaged piano is difficult to move, and expensive if not impossible to repair.
Probably hasn't been played in 40 years.
a left behind piano is so sad :(
Looks lonely. Do you think it misses human contact?
With all the mold I wonder what it sounds like if played?
Wow. Hopefully not a Steinway, left to rot.
it always evokes a feeling of dispair when I see musical instruments in this condition.
I wonder who was the last person to play this and what song did they play? I agree. Abandoned and rotting pianos are rather sad. This instrument will never play again.
The crumbling wall, the piano shyly sitting in the very left corner and the title "Entertainment" make this a very impressing image.

Did you try if any of the keys still worked? (It doesn't seem like, though)
'Stop chewing on the piano'
These suckers were HEAVY! Nice patina on the wall.
No maqtter if it was operable before, by now the sound board is cracked and as Lissbeth said impossible to repair. Such a shame.
Aw...lonely piano shot. I bet this sounded gorgeous in its hey-day. It is so sad to see such a beautiful instrument of art be forgotten and left to rot. :(
lol tootuncommon . they never take the pianos cause there to heavy.
true story when i moved out of my last house me and my wife left the piano ... to heavy
same here. Back in the day when these were popular and everyone had one, they also had piano movers. Try to find a piano mover today. I had an upright grand piano like this but mine was a player piano so it was even heavier, probably about a thousand pounds. When I moved out of the apartment I was in, I had to hire people with a crane in order to get this out the front window. I'm glad I took pictures because no one believed it when I told them.
Wow what a great shot Motts very thought provoking of days past. i do have to admit I'm a bit surprised it has not fallen though the floor yep with how the whole place is rotting!
WANT!..... could be a CD cover.
This one's gorgeous!
It's always a shame when things, especially instruments like this- gets left behind. BUT... after having several keyboards and pianos and organs over the years, some of them are quite heavy. One almost has to have Herculean strength or a team of people to move one, so maybe this was the reason they are left behind.
The music is long gone
I'd give it a good home.
