I really want to live here.
This building looks like it belongs in Greece (except for the snow)
What a wonderful building to go to waste. I hope they are able to save, turn it into something.
Hard to imagine anything like this to be build today.
I wouldn't mind having a summer residence here
So beutiful in all of its old age ,a gracefull old lady
I truly hope they will save it we need to save a piece of Canada from the industrial revolution as well as a historic place on the Niagara.
this should be tuned into some kind of park or museum ..some kind of observatory ....it is truly a beautiful building ...especially rite there by the falls...im sure they can do more than just let it crumble nd rot away ....
And all the furniture was upholstered in fine Corinthian leather. Ricardo Montalban would be proud.

All kidding aside mm and Canada, it would be great to this restored to a waterfront showcase, absolutely. This incredible kind of craftsmanship will not be seen again and should be preserved IMO. Perhaps Canada will have the funds to do that some day? We can only hope.
Romanesque (smooth sided) columns with ionic capitals?
Sort of a "mixed bag" of column design ....Neat shot...
Do you ever have any trouble with your equipment as a result of the cold, Motts? (Lens fogging, battery life, etc.?)
Sure, you pretty much nailed it - lens fogs up a bit in extreme temperature/humidity changes, batteries die quicker in cold weather... that's about it.
