Unbelievable. True craftsmanship! I wonder if any movies were shot here...?
Uhh...those spots on the floor look like pools of blood...

That creeps me out a bit. :D

This is REALLY a massive place isn't it? Did you feel extra-small while you were there Mr. Motts? I can't imagine being in here with crowds of people around me, never mind alone!!!!! Wonderful shot!
I agree Phiftybuick. The craftsmanship is incredible. All this was built by hand using 1920s technology and tools. No computers or CAD. Just a steady eye and talented artist.
It
goes without saying[ they sure don't build them like they use to ]
Very imposing yet grand.
The whole assemblage of size and style is incredible.
Still looks alive in a way... like it still has life in it. Very cool and very sweet photo!
Sooo Chicago, or St Louis...*drools* can't see this kind of sculpture in a gallery!
There have been several Hollywood movies that were shot here such as The Natural, Vamping, and Best Friends. They were shot in the early 80s when Anthony Fedele owned the building. In 2005 and 2006 an indy horror movie company called Red Scream Films shot many horror films in the building.
Many, many movies were shot here. Parts of North By Northwest for one... I've heard a rumor that more trainstation scenes were shot here than in all the other train stations in America combined.
