It is amazing that when some people see something old and beautiful, the first thing they do is throw a rock at or through it.
If they could put a number to it....I wonder how many tickets where sold here from opening to closing.
Why did they make train terminals so massive, was it because the locomotives were so big?
I'll take 2 please...one-way to FarAwayFromMyBoringLifeVille. :D
I wonder how many people stood in line to buy tickets to who-knows-where? Maybe a man going to Los Angles for business in the 1930s or perhaps a young GI heading to New York to board a ship for England during World War 2. Each person who stood here had a story. Now it stands silent.
I totaly agree with Larry D. You Rock Dude.
How wonderful that the marble is still so clean and the lettering so clear.

Geez, is that true :-(. Seems pathetic that people have nothing better to do. Wonder what makes people do that.
Reminds me of the train stations in Europe. I used to take the train to school and work through several different ones and it brings back memories of Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Nuernberg train stations.
I'm thinking of how it must have been to be one of the workers who built it. Each of them had a story, too. And each brick/tile had to be placed just right to make the pattern come out right. How long did it take, how did they do it; and where did they go when they were done?

This is an amazingly beautiful building that needs to be preserved. Thankfully the BCRT is doing a great job of that.
