Wow. This is beautiful, Motts.
I would love to set-up my easel here.
Wow, it must have took an army of skilled masons to build this building.
Once again, thinking of my electric airplane! Love the arches and the floor is awesome.
Cant decide whats more intriguing the brickwork or the tile floor. Very Nice!
This is incredible!!!
What is that thing in the middle of the floor? I love the tile work AND the high ceilings...OOOH so much to look at!
Look at the floor design, lovely. And the brickwork and high arches. You can get a sense of scale (height) by looking at the booths and ticket wickets on each side (that are in dark brown and white). The ceiling must be very high. I wonder if that would magnify the noise or dampen it?
Sure could hold a heck of a dance ther couldn't you
Stunning. Simply stunning. I notice the huge floor clock is missing.
That's R2D2 in the middle mama, it's a little lost at the moment.
Wow, nice floor too! ...Possibly just as difficult to brick all that as painting. I imagine the brickwork everywhere saved the place from a good amount of damage that would have been suffered by plaster. (St Louis even has museum areas in the surplus "mall storefront" space, would be fitting here too.)
Amazing Mr.Motts !! you surprise me everytime :-)
It's just blows your mind when you see somthing like this. I bet when this was being build, the craftsman could have never imagined that one day it would come to this. How truely sad that the only use that today's society can come up with is a "b" movie set. Keep up the good work, I truely enjoy your site.
Since this photo was taken the original clock has been brought back to the building and it is here to stay. Below is a link to a picture from my photo gallery of the clock.

Awesome to see the clock back where it belongs. I'm so glad this place is being restored and not demolished. I wish more grand old buildings were saved.
