Another much appreciated location! You da man, Motts!
This too should be saved, alot of work to saving plaster and such but this is so beautiful just to "ruin"
I think the whole church should be saved , if we don't future generations will never know about the past.
This church should be restored I agree.
Future generations must be allowed to stand in this place rather than just viewing it on a screen.
Do these three angels match the ones that were peeling above the apse doorway? Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
I don't know why, but this pic made me smile. I am not even close to "religious" (though I do have faith and I am a Lutheran) but something about this picture just conjured up many Christmas plays I had been in when I was a child and many Christmases where I still believed in Santa Claus...going to church on Easter and waiting for the Easter Bunny as a child. MANY MANY good memories come up! :)

As I said, it made me smile and made me feel so peaceful too.
I'll probably be struck by lightning for saying this but those angels look like drag queens!
If you look closely at the photo, it appears the angels are painted in a panel separate from the surrounding wall.
Great photo Motts.
Good one, eldokid!! :) I wonder...were those images painted to represent men or women? Angels are usually women??
never saw the baby jesus at there feet
