i was returning to the sight to pick up where i left of at the Norwich State Hospital and was pleased to see a new post! i have been consumed by the sheer beauty and history ! WOW!

Checked my favorite web site in the wee hours & was rewarded with a new gallery! This first photo is a classic "Motts" with spectacular use of light. I love that old doorknob & radiator.

A new gallery - made my day. Thanks for the historical photos, they add more dimension to the history and to your recent photos. They certainly had austere beds - iron and very thin, with very thin looking mattresses. What a shame these lovely stone buildings have to go to waste.

Nice contrast of the softer blue and pinkish tones compared to the white and black door. Great to see a new gallery this AM! :)

YAY! I think Mr. Motts heard our moans of despair for another gallary! :D

The walls almost have a greenish-blue hue to them...very spooky and mysterious and even sad.

Good - a fix for my addiction! Thank you for posting the pictures of when it was in use. I always love seeing how it was when in use.

Lighting and colors are awesome in this one.

The before pics leave me with the feeling they were 'posed' for the benefit of positive publicity. Everything and everyone is too tidy and well-behaved. Definitely not realistic.
