Being constructed in a hillside, parts of the structure reached underground and left some of the male wards in a gloomy atmosphere.

What's that blue thing on the left? An upturned table?
If I wasn't depressed already I sure would have been if I had to stay in this place.
I think it's a bed frame. There were also "safety" beds stacked in one of these rooms, which are just molded blocks of plastic which are difficult to hurt oneself with.
Wow...talk about depressing. Makes the psych hospitals I stayed in seem like DisneyLand in comparison!

The ceiling is making the bed frame sit up and beg for the light fixture.
Those old lights are aesthetically horrible (certainly compared to modern recessed lights!)
