Safe Again

Safe Again

The other building we managed to get to still had the original tin ceilings in most places.

I appreciate this kind of building much more than the renovated ones… the tin ceilings make it feel like it has higher ceilings and more space, therefore making it airier.
What is that object way at the end of the tunnel in the middle of the floor?
Love the hallway shots. Very nice. I like the fact that asshat vandals have not trashed the place.
LOL @ asshat...I use that word now and DH laughs at me because he knows where I got it from. :D
They did a nice job retrofitting modern lights and not messing things up too bad, but it doesn't look like modern AC/heat was added.
The long way home.
I like the reflection mirror... you can watch your back!
It looks like the wall on the right doesn't go all the way down to the floor, and the red thing is partly under it. Cool illusion!
Tin ceilings are awesome.
Color combination is umm different.
The mirror is very cool.
blue is such a calming color, I think it was blue anyway
Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnn Roof Rusted! Sorry, I couldn't resist. I too like that mirror.
Nice reference, shadowman! LOL

Interesting that they take the clocks but leave the concave security mirrors. I'd think those have a higher resale value...
Nice and textured, just the way I like them.
wonder what the white boxes are leaning against the doors are?
Love this! The blue (aqua?) and brown are nice and I just love the textures are so cool. I am also partial to the long hallway shots. :)
looks like the deck of the titanic
Love the hallway shot!
if you look in the mirror, it looks like theres a little kid peeking around the corner.....creepy!
the tin on the ceilings are worth allot of money, I saw someone with some of it on Antique Roadshow.
I'm in love with that ceiling. Great stuff.
I love tin ceilings! I friends of mine lives in a building that used to be a store back in the early 1900s, and he has spent a ton of time painstakingly restoring the tin ceiling. it's going to be gorgeous when it's done.
Il bet those old light ballasts contain PCBs now there finding high levels in caulking around windows & doors.
