I think that chair is trying to escape...perhaps to find the other chair and the stools?
... but unfortunately big lamp-attendant is watching...
Who chose the color scheme for this place, Walt Disney?
LOL Violet...that made me LOL. :)

eldokid...yeah either that or a person with NO color sense. Ech.
There was a time when that looks like it may have been a blue on the walls and there are tons of psychological studies that have been done on the use of colors in different types of facilities. Often blues, greens, and yellows/whites were painted on as an after thing as new research on how color can effect mood came out. The brownish color is probably the original wall color and the other colors denote work done later to "improve" the facility.
Love the patina. Almost looks like an interrogation room with the chair & the lamp.
Did they have a blind person picking the colors? Colors do have an effect on mood, but what effect would these have?
Mean Mr.Lamp is mean Violet.
I would like to have that floor lamp, and put it next to the chair that was in the picture by the hole in the wall where the TV use to be!
Nilsen - so the poor lonely chair can´t join his friends at the lonely-chair meeting next door oO! That´s so sad....
I would think earth tone colors would be more relaxing. Not this bright green/blue. The chair & lamp don't seem to mind though!
If I had to stay in a room with those colors,I would try to escape too--yuccccck
again with the chairs
I have a very similar lamp in black sitting right next to me. Very 1980s.
Hate the colors, love the patina.

Perhaps since Disneyland is the "happiest place on Earth", someone decided that they needed to paint that hospital "Disney" colors, LOL! ;)
why is the chair blocking the lamp from leaving the room?
Is this a riddle Joe?

Um...because it wasn't too bright??

Sorry--I got nothing.
I don't think these colours are too bad. At least they do not have the colour of radioactive mint jelly, like my classroom in elementary school had....
