The contrast between the disarray of the old tin and the straightness and seeming strength of the wood beams is impressive.

I agree. It almost looks as if the ceiling is bowing downward...or is that just the angle of the camera? I love the contrast of dark and light in this.

As I'm looking at this open ceiling, I'm wondering what unsavory critters could be lurking in the rafters and other spaces. Motts, have you had bad experiences with wasps, hornets, bees, fire ants, scorpions, snakes, rats, fighting rosters, or spiders? =8-O
