My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I believe this is the interior of a medium security dormitory. The ample sunlight and lack of bars hint at the architecture considerations given to improve prison conditions when it was constructed.

Gah...my back hurts just looking at those cots! The mattresses were probably crappy as heck, and SO uncomfortable to sleep on!

This DOES remind me of an Army barracks. I can just hear revelie playing!

From the look of it (lack of bars etc) I would say you're right as to it being the minimum security part.

I went through Army basic training at Fort Sill in 1981. In JANUARY! What was I thinking? Dang near froze to death.

Cool pic! It does look like army barracks. Either way, I love my pillow top mattress...and privacy. I guess that's what happens when you need to get locked up! ;)

UGH...privacy? What is THAT?

I might as well be locked up with a husband and 5 kids (and a pet mouse, a pet bird, and a pet cat) always needing something fixed or washed, or they are hungry and need something to eat NOW...

Hmm...I think I would go to prison just for some peace and quiet lol. :)

(Just kidding! I LOVE my family!)

Uncomfy? Those folks weren't in there for singing bad in church. Looks more than adequate to me! Might still find some shanks tucked in the corners here and there.

LOL Fla. Gator...I would be afraid to go to sleep! You snore--you get shivved...you miumble in your sleep--you get shivved...you go to sleep...well, I don't WANT to think of what someone might do to you! Sleep in full-body armor!!
