I really like this photo. The colors are remarkable. It's cool how the bars in the foreground and the rest of the facility in the background are all in focus.
Sitting there, day after day, waiting for the next meal through that
food slot.
Great shot, really gives a 'life behind bars' perspective.
Long hallway shot. I LOVE IT! The bars give it a kind of sad feel to it. :)
Motts - I assume you always have your cell phone with you just in case a door accidently closes?
Whoa...good question Mike! I never thought of that. Now THAT would be scary, no?

I can't fathom getting stuck in a place like this...ahhh!
Motts would simply teleport out in that case
Love the green door in contrast with the off white ones.
Yes but cell phones usually don't work in these kinds of places, so another person or two is always better.
What ever it takes Motts, just keep safe!
One has to wonder how many hands have wrapped themselves around those bars. Holding onto hope, fear, or sanity.
Eek...I would have to take the whole Army National Guard in with me to one of these places lol!

And a few ropes, breadcrumbs, flares....
Yes, Motts, stay safe. I hadn't noticed before but I love the way you framed the vertical parts of the shot in the green horizontal metal hole thing.
Agreed with BKW--the framing of this shot is great! It makes the perspective just pop.
I'm with Larry D. It is quite remarkable that everything is in focus. Not to mention the colors. great shot!
our old friend Institutional Blue.
this door led to the officers area.
