This would really make nice wallpaper.
Another classic.
That weathered red brick against that crystal blue sky is breathtaking. Not a cloud in sight. Very pretty.
"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard And they're like, it's better than yours"
Can you imagine all the guys out on yard working out, doing "business"...talking about home.

Now it looks very empty...

I love the color of the sky! That shade of blue is my fave and the brick against the sky is remarkable. :) NICE!
Beautiful shot against the blue sky and with Mr. Mott's excellent eye for composition, with the centre building lined up with the walk and one building on each side. Great.
A sad edifice against a beautiful blue sky. Truly a lovely shot.
Very nice shot with the 3 buildings centered perfectly.
A lonesome old lady that has done her work and is now ready to move on.
wallpaper!!!!!
the 3rd comment cracks me up!!
I drive past this place every day, my paternal grandmother used to work here when it was still a prison.
Motts can you put this for Wallpaper Please. Thanks Motts.
Hi Colin, and everyone, I have to admit I don't understand Journeyman's comment about milkshakes. If someone wishes to explain, please do. Thanks.
(Don't feel bad BKW Ontario...I have only the tiniest inkling to what that means...like somewhere I have seen or heard it before...I am pretty clueless!)
Could 'milkshake' be an synonym for drugs?
Might be a booty flavored milk shake. Can't get that one at the commissary.
OKay...I just saw a George Lopez episode where George was driving around Bennie and her crones around and they were singing this song...

WHAT DOES IT MEAN??
An interesting thing I noticed: The light pole is of the same type used along highways, although it is much shorter.
Huh. You are right Kolfritz. I never even noticed that until you picked it out.

Makes me think of rest-stops along the highway with horrible fast-food selections and tired people coming in and out...

Cool.
Kind of reminds me of the gates to Auschwitz....
The milkshake song was sung by Peter Griffin in the show 'Family Guy' when he was in prison - specifically, the yard.
these were cellblocks 2, 4, and 6. inmates entered from side doors on each side near the front. The actual front door only led to the officers area. 3 officers to a cell house in 1975. Inmates lived on eith the top or bottom side of the left or right portion of the building. The right side people had no contact with the left side people.
This was maximum security, not a college dorm, or even a medium security dorm.
