Kenneth's Case

Kenneth's Case

Some old suitcases, shoes, and other odds and ends were growing copious amounts of mold down here. I can only assume they were once patient belongings.

It's kind of sad to see something that a person once used, and possibly loved, left to grow mold in the basement.
And all things shall go away..Kinda like dust to dust
Good comments. Were there any dates visible on any items?
Well put Lady and Ferdy. I actually thought that was dust until I read your description.
This makes me sad! Poor lonely suitcase shot. :D
It's not lonely! Isn't that another suitcase with little wheels on the far right, almost falling from the board?
Lady's comment summarizes my feelings perfectly.
I wonder how many other things were left there to get moldy
BKWOntario, I don't recall any dates.

Kaipirinha, yes there were three or so suitcases in here, but they were empty for the most part.
This makes me really want to know the history on Kenneth. Wonder why he was there? @ if he ever got to leave? My best to you Kenneth, where ever to you are!... Since his suitcase was left here, is that a clear sign that he never got to leave?
makes you wonder if they knew that suitcase was going into the basement, never to come back to them again
Good lighting.
This guy probably arrived and never left... creepy
Such a lonely image.
Composition, lighting, textures, the whole thing looks almost like a still life painting! Mr. Motts, you are a genius with the lens!!
Such a sad & lonely photo. Somebody packed that suitcase with items that were important to the bearer at the time. How could they have possibly known that these meager items would be here decades later, waiting patiently for it's owner to retrieve it?
Has a true human feel too it in this shot. Can't help but wonder who owned this and where are thy now.
JackieB I was wondering the same thing too.
Your post made me sad but was nicely written.
Kind of makes me wonder how my stuff will end up when I'm done with it..
This is just...lonely.
