Looks like a fallen angel...I really have an appreciation of how you see so much beauty in such tragic and dark places.
WOW
Well said, Sybl.
beautiful
I also agree Sybl...such beautiful old places, and although many horror stories, there was a need "back then" for the care of those that had symptoms and deseases of the mind and body that are still not totally understood.
Amazing...
Would make a great album cover.
I feel bad for a butterfly, something beautiful, that got lost among the corridors of something like this and had to die there.
-Unless it was already dead and simply fell through a hole in the roof.
A beautiful photo of the lingering remains of something that once flourished. This would make fabulous wallpaper!
One could write a song or a poem about this photo.
Sometimes the simplest of thing hold the most beauty?
Poor thing, it's final moments in the still of this abandoned facility.
Was that outside, or in a room somewhere? It's stunning picture by the way, you should make it a wall paper. :)
hey, STD girl. how does a butterfly fall through a ceiling?
I seriously LOVE the titles to your photographs...
Mr. Motts,
I must say that I love the way in such a huge building with so much to see, you also manage to capture the smallest things, and make them into a fantastic shot. This one really speaks to me.

P.S: Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus (or whatever you may celebrate) to everyone on here!!
How pretty :)
Soo Much Beauty
beauty and sadness all in one photo, beyond amazing
There IS something so beautiful yet so tragic in this picture...I can't imagine this creature's last dying moments...

A dying building and a dying insect...

Something poetic about that, no?
That is gorgeous. Wallpaper?
Oh, no... Johmmy... OH JOHNNY - HE DIDN'T MAKE IT OUT... Oh-hohoho... JOHNNNNY! :-{
Oh how beautiful........yes, wallpaper please. This is definitely 1 of my all-time favorites.
Reminds me of the song "The Crow and The Butterfly" by Shinedown
*throws up*
