LOVE this shade of blue. But I wonder why it's only peeling in some areas?
Good question, eldokid.
wow, love this shot!
That doorway looks kind of short. o.o Love the blue paint,
@Kay
It probably looks short because of the slightly odd perspective.
I suppose the heat & humidity rises to the top of these spaces causing the paint to peel at an accelerated rate. Moisture is a building's worse enemy.
That's one nice shade of blue!
That would be a nice color for a child's room.
Maybe moisture working its way down from the roof as it gives way to natures onslaghter
I think I’ve found the perfect audio to compliment Mr. Motts’ photography:

Experiencing the visual imagery and the sounds together, I believe, takes the viewer to another world!
The soft blue colors, with the shadows and the bright light from the windows make this a very captivating shot!
That is a great blue
ohhh so pretty
This is the same shade of blue in my daughters room...love it!
OMG this was the color of my kitchen when I moved into my house and it was the first thing I got rid of
I love this color...maybe DH will let me paint the boys' room (we have 3 boys and 2 girls) this exact color when we move our youngest in with the older ones.

I can't get over how it looks like a door within a door within a door (the squared of light on the wall)...VERY cool.
Hmmm.. this shade of blue would drive me up the (blue) wall pretty quickly, I think. Better than Baker-Miller, though!!
I have the same shade of blue color in my room it's quite nice.
THAT IS A SHADE BRIGHTER THEN WHAT OUR LIIVING ROOM SCARY
@eldokid- I have been to this place and I have seen first hand the damages done here. I went in the summer of 2011. The reason hwy the paint is peeling in only some place is because of the window damages in each room. Not all the glass from each window is broken out. Also, where the sunlight hits and the roofing damage is a big part of where the paint peels. The whole hospital is completely run down and beware if you decide to go. I went with a group of friends really late at night. There IS security and if caught can get fined and/or jail time. It has many bats and water damage from the roofs being negleted for such a long time. It's sad to see such a beautiful piece of archetecture go to waste and be forgotten except for rumors of being haunted. Btw- when I did visit there I went with the intention of being opened minded and maybe hearing something all I did hear was the wind through the broken down rooms. Creepy not haunted. Though I have seen pictures of times I was unable to accompany my friends that say otherwise. I'll leave that one up to you should you decide to visit Henryton for yourself. It's worth the trip that's for sure.
