Wonderful green ceiling matches the green window frames. I'm the first to comment on this photo, so I'd like to wish Mr. Motts a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and many more photos to come.
Was this a porch for TB patient to get sun? Looks like only two full doorways onto this porch in this shot. I know that sun and fresh air was the treatment in the beginning. Gorgeous.
I'd like to include all who view Mr. Motts' galleries in my Christmas wishes. Happy holidays to all.
Pleasing peaceful greens and lovely ivy encroaching on the first set of windows.
Deja vu for me .. in a way. I kept dreaming about a somewhat-lit, turquoise space like this in my dreams. Only, the space was in better condition, and it had a balcony .. either way, it made me stop for a minute.

Funny how this site serves as another world; wonder where I'd be without it ;)
Oh I like, The greenery and the sunny views.
Thanks for the wishes, BKW. Same to everyone here.
It's a miracle that the cool light fixture isn't busted.
What was the room used for? It's beautiful!
coco; Most likely fresh air, patients would be wheeled out there on nice days and the windows would of been opened.. The area looks slightly more enclosed than other hospital's tend to be though.
Oh, thanks. I thought it might have been a greenery or something.lol
TB PTs were often tucked up under heavy blankets and slept outside in the cold air. Perhaps it hampered the infection and offered some welcome comfort?
looks so peaceful
I wish I had a room like this in my house!
WOW...this is fantastic!
I know why they're necessary, but somehting about "windows into corridors with outside windows" always creeps me out < 8 -0
These pictures creep me out for real. This is some scary stuff. It is not beautiful....it is creepy and sad!
i hope everyone realized that there is a hand or something hanging out the last door
