Wash

Some industrial washing and drying machines... and a tripod in back that I didn't notice at the time!

They appear to be in good shape.
What is the big white bale at the back by the tripod?
It looks to me like a laundry bin with wheels. Like to cart dirty/clean laundry. I remember these from my "stay" in a hospital.
I think you are right Meri. Looks like its tipped over.
Yes, Meri and TootUncommon, you're right, it does look like a hospital laundry bin tipped on its side.
I can just hear the loud humming and the smell of industrial soap.
The thumping of the zombies caught in the machines accidentally.
Incredible lighting
The washer on the right is just like one I used in my high school gym when I was the football team manager in the '80s.
Zombie Washers are essential...

( they get a little "gamey" after a while )
The 'cart' device is also called a 'hamper'. One company I know still makes them--the C.R. Daniels company.

The machine on the right looks like a Milnor washer / extractor.

my mother worked at a nursing home when I was a kid and I remember those machines would make so much noise that I couldnt stay in the room
Between the tripod and the blood bag from earlier in the gallery, it really DOES seem like people were using the building for a movie!
The little blue jug is....dynamo!
WOW...this brings me back to when I worked in the Laundry at a hotel...and a nursing home. Yeah, I have worked in a LOT of places in my life!

I can smell the freshly washed sheets and pillowcases...and hear the hum of the dryers. I can almost smell the detergent too!

Isn't it funny how Motts' photos bring the people viewing them back to a certain time in their lives...just by the picture alone?

THAT is a sign of one talented photographer!
Amazing how these machines used to be so huge back then and nowadays 30 of them can probably fit that room...
One thing I really love at this site is all the info about those old machines, thanks a lot for the link, Gulliver! I´m very into old machines.
That's what our dryer looks like, only ours is that nasty 70's green.
I wonder if these machines would still run?
