Campus

Some of the older structures can be seen from this vantage point, and the large white building we were just in sitting in the back. The original buildings up here were sealed up pretty good, and the setting sun was our cue to head out.

The older building in the front looks quite pleasant, from the outside anyway. Thanks for another great set Motts :-)

Not a beautiful building, but amazing photos. Imho Mr. Motts should be officially allowed to make photos off buildings before they got torn down. But maybe it's then no fun anymore. Sorry for my spelling I'm from germany

Wonderful picture. It almost looks like a college campus. :)

Happy New Year all!
Beautiful gallery Motts! I'm so glad to have found this site a few years ago--just about every time I pop back here I find something new and beautiful here. Thank you, and please keep it up! :D
When we shut the power off to this hospital it all went down hill.Security was there for several years and the place was in good shape. The STATE Police used it for urban trainng for a while with tack force and dogs and stuff but after the floors started giving way they had stopped using it. The scappers moved in and cut the poles down, dumped the transformes(PCB"S ?) and took the copper. The vandails moved in and tore the plywood off the windows and doors and wrecked the place, burned the garage and theatre. Then there are the goust hunters(HA HA) who think someone there.Their has been some people caught there and arrested but over all its a hazard for anyone to go into.

Thanks for documenting this. It continues to amaze me at what is just left behind to go to ruin!
Motts, you mentioned how heavily vandalised this place is, i am a frequent visitor to henryton for poetic inspiration, photogrphic purposes and its serenity, and each time i visit, heart-breakingly, it becomes more and more crippled, i've seen holes in the walls where kids with sledge hammers literally level entire walls and rip the washing machines out and toss them across the campus, it was once such a beautiful hospital and now its barely even standing:(
I thought that patrol was taking care of trespassers? If so why still vandalizing going on?
im surpirized that theres no pics on the roof. the roof is the best place. you can feel everything for up high you feel despire and sadness its wrong to say but its an amazing feeling
This is such a gorgeous gallery, I loved it. Wonderful photography. :)
