Guaging Station

Guaging Station

Hydrotherapy / shower room; a bathtub was presumably located in front of the partition.

Cool photos as always! How do you find out about these places?
Motts has that sixth sense and a lot of good friends!
Looks like a handheld shower hanging off the partition. This is reminiscent of Byberry with nothing but tile tile tile. The dropped ceiling looks out of place.
Ewwww to the floor...what is that white stuff? Looks like a perfect breeding ground for Athelete's Foot! Heehee.
Is that a trash chute behind that metal hatch?
where is the soap dispenser?
Very cold and sterile
nothing like a little privacy
Gauging....?
Calgon, take me away!
Yeah not much privacy to be found here. Ugh....Hey Joe, did you find my soap dispenser again? Love it!!!
I think that metal door on the left might be for a fire hose or something. Although why they need a fire hose in a tiled room that is almost always wet is besides me.
After living at the hospital for ten years, I learned that hydrothrophy was the use of a patient being put into a bath tub, covered with a canvas except for their head, and ice added to the tub until they went into shock. This was the best treatment of the day to stop a person from acting out and hurting themselves or others. The tub was in front of that partition. And no there was no privacy at all while a patient there, night or day.
