Is it the lighting or did they use a rosy toned paint? Several of the rooms appear to have that rosy hue to them.
It's actually a very intense pink color, a bit washed out in this photo.
Pepto-Pink! Was that soothing or nauseating !?
Eck, did you know they did a study for painting pink walls in prisons? It calmed them at first, but then they went ape shit. It has a short calming effect, but causes people to become angry after long exposure. I thought that was funny. :) Red actually calms, I think. That's what I think they said. I don't know.lol
The rust and the red splotches on the wall are beautiful. :)

Coco: I could definitely believe that about pink walls.

I think that green is supposed to calm people, but I could be wrong.
Pepto pink in its prime is horrific. But as time takes its toll on the it, the warm rose hue is beautiful.
Beautiful photo. I can't help but wonder how that bed frame wound up like that.
I'd prefer burgundy. Intense colors should only be used in small, scattered amounts. Haha, over-saturation could near blind a person.
it has a gate like look to it.
LucieLou; I assume nauseating ha
Both green and blue were shown to have a calming effect on personnel in a Navy study done in the late 60's. Funny thing, the same study showed that fluorescent lighting caused intense stress among personnel in office or shop settings.
Blue and green were found to be calming, but also cause depression. Red causes aggitation, and yellow cheers people up...at first, then it becomes agitating. Orange causes hunger cravings, white is sterile, but also cold. They study and study color, but the reactions are different depending on time exposed, hue, and even meds people are on.
Cool, Pegasus! Thank you! I'd always heard blue had a calming effect... I painted my bedroom blue in a house I lived in once, to try and combat insomnia. Didn't work... but it was a nice color, anyway.
