Another hydrotherapy unit appears after looking into many empty rooms...

Looks to be in remarkably good shape considering the years.
It always amazes me how some rooms are pristine and others are in advance decay.
This looks new to me. weird!
Trying to figure out how this one operated!? Did it tilt down to help the disabled get inside, and then tilt back to fill with water?
Rodeo tub fun time.
Looks like it is still loaded with soap in the control unit. Who's next?
im not getting in that!
Floor just needs a wash and you'd think it was an active hospital.
I shudder to think of how much money has been wasted on all this medical equipment we always see in abandoned hopitals........That unit almost looks new. Very strange tub
i also agree tub looks brand new and look at tile and paint looks just finished yesturday , weird that its been that many years
pop in a quarter and see what happens..
That's mechanical bull version of this odd shaped tub.

Wooo!
FANCY!
Who knows,it could be fun?
I want one.
It isn't for hydrotherapy, it is a whirlpool tub. The person is put in through the door on the side, the tub is then reclined so that the person is lying back and mostly covered with water. The jets are turned on and there is a soap that can be added so the person is cleaned. It can be hard to reach everywhere to clean, so the whirlpool action is to help with the cleansing. When they were done with their bath, the tub was moved into the upright position, the water drained, the door opened and the resident taken out. The tubs run about $10,000, plus the lift to get the patient in and out.
Thanks so much Pegasus! It wasnt till you mentioned it that i saw the Door! Duh! Now, i see exactly how it operated. :)
Washes, dries, and through's ya right across the room and into bed.
Pegasus, thanks so much for all of the info!
You are welcome!
i work at RPC...and it amazes me the crap the state left behind instead of selling or donating...
The salvage value of this thing must be way up there. Why they leave these things to just rot away is beyond me.

Anyway, this one looks more intimidating than the minty-green one with the lift chair. (This one also looks a lot more modern.)
Once again, a really expensive and useful piece of equipment is left rusting and unused. Lame.
Ewwww, what is it? It's scary looking and despicable that they just leave all this shit behind because it's already been paid for, just write a new grant and get new stuff - the american way - sadly SAD!
I bet you could get a lot of money from some of the equipment in these buildings. But i would never touch any of it. How everything stays the same for so long is what makes the buildings so interesting. I don't think they should ever do any demolition or remodeling to any building like these.
