Looking back outside, there was an impressive view of the blast furnaces. We heard someone drive up outside and quickly hid in a collapsing sinkhole, after a few minutes of silence we returned to the gargantuan engines.

Hard to believe they did all of this without modern technology. Amazing what they accomplished...and it worked!

My thoughts exactly Binky a WWII Battleship.... sad that they no longer built battleships now..... there was just something showed your power and fear then a massive battleship loaded with massive 80mm guns!
Impressive, and really gives you a sense of the sheer size of this place. Steel mills give a whole new meaning to the phrase "larger than life."
