Holy cow... I love this shot...
One of my favorites. Can a building look sad? This one looks sad. Once so full of life and now left to die alone.
I think that is a problem with the modern world, too many people and building left to die a lonely death.
Very somber picture.
Feels sad.
How can they look so sound on the outside and be totally falling apart on the inside...they could be gutted and redone...instead of demolition.
Oh my goodness, this is a stunning shot. So much emotion in the stark desolation!
Deemed useless, too old to save, and left abandoned, a lonely victim of neglect waits out her last days.
unfortunately some people are like that too
carrying her secrets never to be revealed, excellent shot
Cold, stark, and lifeless. Think of all the patients & staff who looked out those windows over the years.
When I see this picture I think of 'The Shawshank Redemption" for some reason.

I love how bleak and sad it looks, yet how stately and proud too. It is a study in contrasts for sure!
Is it me, or has the site taken on a sort of mutual affection for the one commiting it to art?? ...The less-harsh stare this building seems to have come to return to the photographer is almost unmistakeable... at least I'd like to think so...:)
I LOVE this shot Motts! So sad this is all gone now but your photos will preserve the memories of these gorgeous buildings.
