My first thought also - seclusion.
Not very inviting is it.
But very cool nonetheless.
Looks like wire glass in the window?
again with the creepy. i half expect at any moment a set of eyes to appear on the other side.
Oh

Never mind
LOVE IT.
why do they have these rooms
When patients would exhibit violent tendencies (eg. hurting themselves or others), staying in this room for a few hours alone would be a way for them to "cool off" without being agitated by anyone.
Ahhhh....

This reminds me of the seclusion rooms in the hospital I was in as a teen...

I never got thrown in one (thank goodness) but I have seen my roomates and friends put into a room like this...
creepy not at all like tyhe seclusion rooms in new facilities
Yeah it is real easy to lock people up in a room rather than try to talk to them, and find out what they want or how they feel. I would go nuts to if everytime I'm upset people would ignore me.
