They could be steam pipes used to dispel any drafts, if this was a hydrotherapy room (it did have a shallow tub). http://www.opacity.us/...rce/hydrotherapy.jpg

The wall color might be from one of the movies filmed here.

From the looks of the paint, the movie itself was a long time ago. (If indeed that is why the wall is even that color.)

First thing I noticed was the "Cave-Man" type marks on the paint above the pipes and box. A buffalo, a few hunters? Anyone else see that?

Old school heating is what those pipes are. Except the upper box, that's a zombie detector.
