That's incredible. Gave me chills just looking at it....
OH yeah! Another fantastic wallpaper! This looks sad - especially when you think of all the life that was within it at one time.
I really like the stars moving across the sky.
The stars remind me of fireworks for a Grand Old Lady?
Thanks for another wallpaper!
This is a great gallery.
What a contrast to the earlier shots. Those were so damp and dreary, this feels so crisp and dry.
this structure is massive
Dear Motts, Help me out with your wonderful pic here. ARE all the streaks in the sky stars? or, was it also starting to rain or snow? Thanks LL.
thanks for the two wallpapers.
i keep shifting back and forth between this one and keep out.
I can't help but admire the architecture of this old building. Beautiful shot.
LucieLou, the streaks in the sky are stars; the exposure times at night are so long, that the rotation of the earth creates these star trail effects. The North Star is the only one that won't streak because it's on the rotation axis. More can be found here: http://www.opacity.us/...17220747261696c7322/
Thank you so very much for the link and info. Motts. I absolutely love this photo and wanted to know for sure. Keep up the GREAT work :)
How can they walk away from a building this big. There must have been some part that could be used. I can't get over the waste.
In this day and age it feels like a crime to have walked away from this building.
That building was way ahead of its time for size out there. Kings Park was just a small rural town way out east with small buidings.
Very well done.
Is the orange glow on the closest side of the building just from light pollution? I assume it isnt painted with a torch.. ha
There's a sodium street light on the boulevard that goes on and off, which lights the front side of the building more than the full moon could.
I love the soothing colors in this picture. Really cool shot. I also always love seeing the stars streaking in the sky. :)
KPPC is the Mount Everest of urban exploration sites. To say Building 93 is massive is an understatement. I've seen others attempt to photograph this monolith and it's pathetic compared to Opacity. Mr. Motts your talent can only be described as supernatural. We who are privileged to see your work are awestruck. I hope the national media discovers this site. All it would take is one story on Good Morning America or CBS Sunday Morning to make you a famous man.

Question: Is the color of the sky blue or green?
