Looks so quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful. The lighting in this shot is unbelievable!
Beautiful!! absolutely beautiful, what else can I say!!

Can you make this a wallpaper, please?
Pretty hard to walk softly with feet that big.
Wow, I just noticed the bed. That's so cool. :)
Oooo. So much to take in. The bed still has sheets on it. Perfect lighting. Love the windows.
I wonder if the cold dampened out the smell of mold from that bed.
What a peaceful and beautiful picture. I can't believe the sheets are still on the bed as well.
Great photo Motts. The foot prints in the snow makes it very very interesting. Also like others have noted that the sheets are still on the bed too!! Wow. Great shot!! Love it! I'm sure its very very cold in there too!!I wonder if there was a door for that room? Cause the opening looks very large for a door. Not much privacy either!!
"Footprints in the dust..."
Where did the bedside table go? Or am I thinking of a different room?
I guess it doesn't matter because I know this wouldn't have been a residents room.
No erica...I think you are right, it is in a different gallery...look at the trees...they look the same as the picture I saved as my desktop here at work. There was a bedside table in that shot. Residents usually didn't have rooms, they had wards, so this could have been part of a resident's ward.
Stuff always seemed to get moved around a lot at Norwich. Yeah I would imagine it was a day room and the bed was placed there after it closed.

It reminds me of that one bed at Danvers, I think someone dragged it up to the top floor of the administration building...
I really like this shot. Unfortunately the bed has now been burned, so no more sheets.
Are those Mr. Mott's footie prints in the snow? This is the same room in another gallery, different angle. But it's the same bed, same sheets, same radiator. BUT there was a table next to the bed, I had that photo as my desktop also, and that image is burned into my memory. (like most of Motts shots). "Motts Shots" that would be a good name for a book. Which reminds me, I recently purchased a book called simply "Asylum" and there were several photographs that I could have sworn I saw here so I think Mr. Motts should investigate to make sure his work isn't being pilfered. They didn't give any credit to the photo but it was the one taken through a round window on a door that was all crinkled with paint, I know I saw that here.
No, the book "Asylum" are the photographs shot by Christopher Payne: http://asylumbook.com

Sometimes there are similar shots taken by different photographers without either having knowledge of the other.

I am working to put a small publication out next year, still working on the subject matter.
WONDERFUL! I'll be first in line to buy a copy!
And sorry about the confusion with the Asylum book. I should have known it wasn't your photo because even though the subject was similar, there was something lacking that made me feel it wasn't yours.
I hope these were your footprints...
Wow...a gallary I missed!!!

That is one biiiiiiig foot Mr. Motts! :D
..and time stood still... great shots. love tne colors. great news about the book. sign me up!
