Large auditorium!
Seat # 112 , please
That theater is HUGE! The seats appear to be in relatively good condition. Awesome shot Motts.
Is that dark brown spot in the upper right hand corner a gaping hole in the ceiling or a stain? Just curious. ;)
It's a gaping hole
It is indeed gaping, that's for sure. Thanks, Mr. Motts!
I agree with Larry D., the seats do appear to be in great shape. Great photo. I guess there was no danger of the upper balcony area collapsing?
Be careful around those heavy front curtains in a theatre. Back in the day some of those contained a lot of asbestos to help keep a backstage fire from sweeping through the auditorium. Not sure when that stopped in relation to the age of some of these locations, but just one more problem area to be aware of...
love this angle
Correct Mike; the curtain was manufactured by H.W. Johns-Mansville Co., a major manufacturer of fireproof asbestos products. This curtain was most likely made between 1901 and 1926 judging by the company name.

I'm not sure if it would be very dangerous unless it was being cut or torn open; many asbestos products that aren't very friable wouldn't be much of a hazard if left alone.
I like the change in perspective.... you know the Christmas tree in the previous shot is small, but it's the the center-point of the picture. Then you see this one, zoomed way out so you can just barely see the little bitty tree on the stage. Gives you an idea of both the immensity of the theater and the smallness of the tree.
I feel so small.
well gaza here is the web address info , there very helpfull ,say gary recommened you
